Perpetual Perceptions

This creation was awarded First Place in the 72nd Regional Exhibition of Art at the Fitchburg Art Museum in 2007. It is the artist’s largest and most energetic piece, standing 64” high on a solid base of rough pine supported by casters. The base wood measures 22” x 34”. The work is comprised of thousands of pieces of exotic and common woods, constructed in such a way that the viewer feels compelled to linger and look, then scrutinize and wonder. Its mesmerizing nature creates a need to see into it, and then discover the continuous designs within the design, never to end. The viewer is drawn back, again and again, to this utterly absorbing work of art.
